Blood Donation Camp held by RDC to mark World Thalassemia Day and Red Cross and Red Crescent Day

On the occasion of World Thalassemia Day and World Red Cross
and Red Crescent Day, Road Development Corporation (RDC), in collaboration with
Maldives Red Cross and Red Crescent (MRC) and Maldives Blood Service (MBS),
held a Blood Donation camp on 08th May 2022 at Maldives Blood Services.
The main aim of this blood donation camp was to raise awareness
and encourage the younger generation to participate in this
noble cause, as well as to alleviate the challenges that youngsters have in
obtaining blood.
31 employees including Senior Managers also participated in this blood camp.
RDC aims to conduct such camps every year in collaboration
with Maldives Blood Services to facilitate easy access to blood for thalassemia
patients.
