The children’s park developed in N. Kendhikulhudhoo under
the Government’s Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) has been officially
opened, providing a modern recreational space for children and families on the
island.
The project included comprehensive landscaping and
hardscaping works, as well as the installation of modern playground equipment.
The park has been developed in the Kulhudhoo avah of Kendhikulhudhoo.
The Kendhikulhudhoo Children’s Park was one of the pledges
made by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during his visit to the island in July
2025, reflecting the Government’s commitment to enhancing community facilities
across the Maldives.
The project was awarded to the Road Development Corporation
(RDC) on 29 March 2025 at a contract value of MVR 581,850.00 and was completed
within the contractual period of six months.
The new facility is expected to provide a safe and welcoming
environment for children while promoting family recreation, social interaction,
and stronger community engagement among the residents of Kendhikulhudhoo.
