Commencement of the Groundbreaking Event of Major Roads at Ha. Ihavandhoo

A significant event took place in Ha. Ihavandhoo as Minister of Construction and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, and RDC's Managing Director, Brigadier General (Retd) Ali Zuhair, joined Council members and RDC's Senior management team for the groundbreaking of Ha. Ihavandhoo road project.
The day began with a productive meeting focusing on the island's road infrastructure development.
The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by key figures such as Minister Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, Managing Director of RDC, Brigadier General (Retd) Ali Zuhair, Deputy Managing Director of RDC, Mr. Mohamed Nabeeh Afeef, and Council President Mr. Ahmed Sobah, marked the start of the project.
The road project, awarded to RDC in April 2023 at a cost of MVR 102,846,733.89, involves paving and modernizing 15 roads. It also includes detailed surveys, design work, and installation of utility junctions, road markings, speed breakers, road sign boards, and road lights.
This project is a significant step towards improving Ha. Ihavandhoo's road infrastructure and promoting progress and development on the island.
