Construction of New Police Station Commences in L. Hithadhoo

The construction of a new police station has officially
commenced in L. Hithadhoo. The practical work was launched during President Dr.
Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island.
At a special ceremony held to mark the occasion, Minister of
Homeland Security and Technology, Mr. Ali Ihusaan, laid the foundation stone
for the new police station. He was accompanied by Commissioner of Police, Mr.
Ismail Naveen; Managing Director of the Road Development Corporation (RDC), Mr.
Ibrahim Nazeem; and President of the Hithadhoo Council, Mr. Ibrahim Shamoon.
The Government has placed strong emphasis on ensuring that
every island is equipped with dedicated police station to strengthen law
enforcement services across the nation.
