Construction of TVET Center in Kulhudhuffushi Assigned to RDC

Ministry of Higher Education has
assigned RDC the responsibility of
developing a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) center,
along with a student dormitory, in Kulhudhuffushi City.
As part of the Ministry's efforts to
establish and operate higher education and training centers across various
regions of the Maldives, an agreement was signed for the construction of a TVET
center and student dormitory in Kulhudhuffushi. The agreement was signed by RDC’s
Managing Director, Brigadier General (Retd) Ali Zuhair, and Minister of Higher
Education Dr. Ali Haidar Ahmed.
The institute to be built in
Kulhudhuffushi City will occupy a land area of 35,777.88 square feet. It will
feature a multi-purpose workshop, seven classrooms, an ICT laboratory, an
auditorium, meeting rooms, study rooms, and a library. A student dormitory will
also be constructed to provide convenient accommodation.
Additionally, RDC has been assigned
the development of a student dormitory in R. Dhuvaafaru. The facility, which
includes training and accommodation services, will be developed on a 15,000
square feet plot of land.
