Gdh. Fiyoaree Road Construction Project Awarded to RDC

The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been awarded the contract to undertake the development and modernization of the road network in Gdh. Fiyoaree.

The project agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Government by the Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib. RDC was represented at the signing by its Managing Director, Mr. Ibrahim Nazeem.

The Fiyoaree Roads Development Project has been awarded at a total contract value of MVR 72 million and is scheduled to be completed within a period of 730 days.

Under the project, the main roads of the island will be upgraded to modern standards. Priority will be given to roads serving key public institutions, including the school, health centre, and island council, with the aim of improving accessibility, safety, and overall connectivity for the residents of Fiyoaree.

The project forms part of the Government’s broader strategy to enhance island-level infrastructure and support sustainable social and economic development across the Maldives.
