Groundbreaking Ceremony of AA. Maalhos Police Station

Construction of a new police station has officially commenced in AA. Maalhos, marking the start of practical work on the project. This will be the first police station to be established on the island.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held in Maalhos today as part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island.

The ceremony was officiated by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusaan, Commissioner of Police, Ismail Naveen, and Managing Director of the Corporation, Ibrahim Nazeem, who inaugurated the project.

Maalhos Council President Ismail Naseer, along with state and police officials, also attended the ceremony.

As part of the government’s initiative to expand police services across the country, foundation stones are being laid for new police stations in various islands.
