Groundbreaking Ceremony of Thoddoo Police Station

Construction of a new police station has officially commenced
in AA. Thoddoo, marking the start of practical work on the project.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held today as part of
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island.
The event was officiated by Minister of Homeland Security
and Technology, Ali Ihusaan. Commissioner of Police, Ismail Naveen, Road
Development Corporation (RDC) Managing Director, Ibrahim Nazeem, and Thoddoo
Council President were also in attendance.
Construction has already begun on similar facilities across
the country, reflecting the government’s initiative to establish police
stations on all inhabited islands and its broader effort to strengthen law
enforcement services nationwide.
