Lh. Hinnavaru Futsal Ground completed and inaugurated

The futsal ground developed by the corporation in Lh.
Hinnavaru has been completed and inaugurated.
The facility was officially opened by the Minister of Youth
Empowerment, Sports and Fitness, Abdulla Rafiu in a special ceremony. The
ceremony was also attended by the member of parliament for the Hinnavaru
constituency Mohamed Abdul Rahman.
After the inauguration the minister also commenced the
“Gandiya Futsal Challenge”, the first futsal tournament held in the island
after the condition of the old futsal ground developed over 8 years ago had
deteriorated at large.
Under this project, subbase development of the plot was
carried out with the installation of turf, benches, lights and fencing.
The project was awarded to the Road Development Corporation (RDC) on 29th March
2025 at a contract value of MVR 1,634,489.00 and is scheduled for completion
within 120 days.
