Multiple Development Projects Launched in K. Kaashidhoo

Two major development initiatives have commenced in K. Kaashidhoo, with construction works beginning on a new police station and a community rehabilitation center, alongside the signing of an agreement for the modernization of the island’s road network.
The construction of the police station and the community rehabilitation center was inaugurated during the official visit of His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to K. Kaashidhoo, underscoring the Government’s commitment to strengthening public services and community development in the island.
The police station project was inaugurated at a separate ceremony officiated by the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Mr. Ali Ihsan. The ceremony was attended by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ismail Naveen; the Managing Director of the Road Development Corporation (RDC), Mr. Ibrahim Nazeem; and the President of the Kaashidhoo Council, Mr. Mohamed Amir, along with other officials.
The construction works of the community rehabilitation center were also officially launched during the visit, marking an important step towards enhancing social support services for the local community.
In addition, the agreement for the K. Kaashidhoo Roads Modernization Project was signed during a meeting held by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu with the residents of Kaashidhoo. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure by the Minister, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Road Development Corporation by Managing Director, Mr. Ibrahim Nazeem.
Once completed, these projects are expected to significantly improve public safety, community rehabilitation services, and transportation infrastructure in K. Kaashidhoo, contributing to the island’s overall development and quality of life.
