Naifaru Road Modernization and Police Accommodation Projects Launched

The road modernization project in Lh. Naifaru and the construction of a police accommodation block have officially commenced.

Both projects were formally launched by His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during his visit to Naifaru, reflecting the Government’s continued commitment to improving essential infrastructure and public services across the atolls.

The Naifaru road modernization project was inaugurated by the Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib. The ceremony was attended by Naifaru Constituency Member of Parliament Yasin Abdullah, Managing Director of Road Development Corporation (RDC) Mr. Ibrahim Nazeem, and Naifaru Council President Mr. Mohammed Rasheed.

The commencement of the police accommodation block was inaugurated by the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Mr. Ali Ihan. He was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ismail Naveen, Naifaru MP Yasin Abdullah, RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem, and Naifaru Council President Mohammed Rasheed.

The two projects are expected to significantly enhance road connectivity within Naifaru and improve living facilities for police officers stationed on the island, contributing to improved public safety and community wellbeing.
