RDC Awarded Contract to Build Outdoor Gyms in Four Islands and a Futsal Stadium in Thimarafushi

The corporation has officially signed an agreement with the Ministry of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation to undertake the construction of outdoor gyms in four islands and a futsal stadium in one island.

As per the agreement, the projects will be carried out in the following locations:

- R. Maakurathu: An outdoor gym will be developed at a cost of MVR 453,000, with a targeted completion period of 60 days.

- K. Maafushi: An outdoor gym will be developed for MVR 291,600, also to be completed within 60 days.

- K. Gaafaru: The outdoor gym development project has been awarded for MVR 453,000, with a completion timeline of 60 days.

- L. Kalaidhoo: Equipment replacement for the existing outdoor gym has been contracted at MVR 291,600, expected to be completed within 60 days.

In addition to these, the corporation will also undertake the construction of a futsal stadium in Th. Thimarafushi, with the project valued at MVR 1,765,248.12 and a completion period of 120 days.

These initiatives are part of ongoing efforts to enhance fitness and recreational infrastructure across the Maldives.
