As part of the initial phase of President Dr.
Mohamed Muizzu’s policy to establish a safe and secure society, contracts have
been awarded to state-owned enterprises for the construction of police stations
across 83 islands. Under this initiative, RDC has
been entrusted with the development of police stations in 22 islands.
This project seeks to strengthen law enforcement
infrastructure at both atoll and island levels by establishing police posts and
accompanying accommodation facilities. The President has announced that police
stations will be established in all inhabited islands by the end of the year.
The agreement was formalized with the signing by Deputy
Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikree on behalf of Maldives Police Service, and
Brigadier General (Retd) Ali Zuhair, Managing Director of RDC, on behalf of the
corporation.
