RRC Clinches Club Maldives Cup for the Second Time

Road Recreation Club (RRC) emerged champions of the Club Maldives Cup for the second time after defeating STO Recreation Club 7–5 in a thrilling final.
RRC previously won the tournament in 2021 and has since reached the finals for two consecutive years, finishing as runners-up to WAMCO. This year’s victory marks a strong return to the top for the club.
In the final, Ali Shamis (Thoppe) scored two goals for RRC, while Iranian player Mohsin Montazemi and Ahmed Aflaz also contributed two goals each. Adam Nasih (Aadhannaa) added one goal to complete the tally. One of RRC’s goals resulted from an own goal by STO goalkeeper Mohammed Zuhal.
Ahmed Aflaz of RRC was crowned King of the Tournament for his outstanding performance. He was also named among the tournament’s top five players, alongside RRC teammates Ibrahim Aswad (Gabey) and goalkeeper Mohamed Lufsaan (Puff).
RRC players Adam Nasih (Aadhannaa) and Shanaan Rashad, who was substituted during the final due to injury, finished as the tournament’s joint top scorers, each netting a total of nine goals. The Best Coach award was presented to RRC head coach Ismail Shareef (Isse).
The victory further cements RRC’s reputation as one of the leading clubs in Maldivian futsal, reflecting consistent performance, strong teamwork, and effective coaching throughout the tournament.
