The practical work for the R. Alifushi road development project has begun

The project was inaugurated by Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, at a ceremony held in Alifushi. The event was attended by the Managing Director of the company, Brigadier General (Retd) Ali Zuhair, senior officials of the company, council members, and government representatives.
The road modernization project was signed on 16th April 2023, with a total cost of MVR 90,956,112.97. A total of 7 roads, spanning 3819.4 meters, will be constructed under the Alifushi Road Development Project. Additionally, the roads in Alifushi will undergo development with a stormwater network, drainage gutters, utility line junctions , including water and sewerage, laying of asphalt, installation of streetlights, speed breakers, and road signboards.
The necessary equipment and vehicles for the road construction project have already been dispatched to the island.
