Work to modernize Ha. Kelaa’s roads has officially commenced

Physical works
for the project to upgrade the roads of HA. Kelaa to modern standards have
officially commenced. The project is being implemented by the Corporation under
a government contract.
The project was
formally inaugurated at a special ceremony held on the island by the Member of
Parliament for the Kelaa constituency, Hon. Abdulla Shareef.
The ceremony was
attended by the Managing Director of the Corporation, Mr. Ibrahim Nazeem, and
the President of the Kelaa Island Council, Mr. Abdulla Infaaz.
Under the project
scope, a total of 3.9 kilometres of the island’s main roads will be developed
with asphalt surfacing. The project also includes the installation of an
integrated drainage system and the development of modern street infrastructure.
