75% of Kulhudhuffushi City's Road Development Project Completed

75% percent of the RDC’s project to modernize the roads of Kulhudhuffushi City has been completed. The project involves the construction of 31 roads, totaling 7.25 km. So far, the construction of cable junctions has been completed on 27 of the 31 roads. For the remaining four roads, 90% of the work on the cable junctions has been completed.
The installation of cable junction pipes has been finished on 18 roads, while 80% of this work has been completed on the remaining roads. Stormwater tanks have been installed on all but one road, and stormwater pipes have been installed on all the roads. Curbstone installation has been completed on 17 roads, with an average completion rate of 50% on the remaining roads. Additionally, the construction of the aggregate base course (ABC) has been completed on 21 roads.
As part of the ongoing project, asphalt layering has been completed on six roads, with over 90% of the asphalt work finished on six other roads. Excavation and other major works have been completed, and paving work is also underway.
The modernization of Kulhudhuffushi City's roads began on 10th June 2021. The total cost of the project is MVR 100,700,048.55.
