N. Velidhoo Project Updates

In N. Velidhoo, multiple construction and maintenance activities are underway. The workshop is focused on welding and steel reinforcement for the pump station boundary wall footings, columns, and beams. At the casting yard, catch pit rings and culvert tops have been casted, with material arranging and site clearance ongoing. On Ocean Magu, junction elevation, paving with cut pieces, and deshuttering work are being carried out. Dheyliya Magu and Orchid Magu are also seeing paving work with cut pieces, with Orchid Magu additionally undergoing junction elevation and deshuttering. Bodu Magu has cross-connection pipeline installation and junction installation in progress. Sosun Magu is focused on sewerage and cable junction elevation, while Bodu Magu is seeing junction elevation work. Catch pit adjustments are being made on Chaandhanee Magu and Raaverin Magu, where material unloading from the jetty to the site is also taking place.

In N. Velidhoo, various works were undertaken across different sites. At the workshop, welding works, material arranging, along with welding steel reinforcement for the Pump Station boundary wall footings. At Pump Station 03, the bottom casting was completed. On Raaverin Magu, the light post footing casting was completed, paving was done, and corner curbstone curbs were installed, along with street light electrical connections, paving lines, and cable junction elevations. Junction adjustments and culvert top placements were also conducted, along with road clearance. On Sosun Magu, junction adjustments and cable junction elevations were performed. At the casting yard, culvert casting, tank bottom casting at Pump Station 01, and the casting of catch pit rings and curb stones were completed, with ongoing material arranging and site clearance. On Dheyliya Magu, paving and corner curbstone installation were executed. Additionally, culvert tops were placed on Haveeree Hingun.

At N. Velidhoo, various construction activities are underway. At the Casting Yard, the E Junction has been casted, welding works are ongoing, and the catch pit cover, culvert, culvert top, catch pit ring, and curbstone have all been casted. At Shabnamee Hingun, cross connections are being made, gap filling is in progress, and culvert tops are being delivered and placed. At Pump Station 1, deshuttering is being done, the bottom steel frame is being prepared, tank casting has been completed, and pre-preparation for bottom casting is ongoing. At Raaverin Magu, paving blocks are being laid, light post footings are being installed, electrical cable layering is in progress, and light post footings are being casted. At Bodu Magu, cable layering and connections have been completed, including light connections and cross pipe connections. On Ocean Magu, corner curbstones are being installed. In the Workshop, welding works continue, with the casting of corner curbstones, culvert tops, and catch pit tops. At Orchid Magu, paving is ongoing, culvert tops are being delivered and placed, and corner curbstones are being installed. Finally, on Sosun Magu, junction adjustments are being made.

In N. Velidhoo, ongoing works include cross connections, junctions, L2 electrical cable layering, and curb stone gap filling at Ocean Magu. The catch pit at Chandhanee Magu has been adjusted, while at Pump Station 01, activities such as steel reinforcement, excavation, shuttering, casting, deshuttering, and dewatering are underway. Electrical cable layering is being carried out at Raaverin Magu, and gap filling is in progress at Dheyliya Magu. Cross connections are also being worked on at Shabnamee Hingun. In the casting yard, culverts, curb stones, and cement blocks have been casted, along with culvert tops. Additional tasks include welding works, material arranging, site cleaning, and leveling of cable junctions.

In N. Velidhoo, various infrastructure projects have been completed across multiple locations. In Ocean Magu, street lights were installed and connected, with cross connections and junctions also completed. Chandhanee Magu saw the adjustment of catch pits, while road clearance was finished on Marine Drive. In Orchid Magu, L1 electrical cable layering was completed, and all L1 light posts were installed. Sosun Magu had tree pits made and adjusted, along with adjustments to sewer junctions. Catch pits were also adjusted in Shabnamee Hingun. In the Casting Yard, reinforcement work was done for catch pit tops and culvert tops, with casting completed for catch pits, curb stones, culverts, D-junctions, and culvert tops. Welding work was carried out, materials were arranged, and the site was cleaned. Additionally, cement blocks were casted, and steel reinforcement was initiated for Pump Station 1.

At the casting yard, tasks include casting culvert tops, D-junctions, curb stones, wall blocks, and reinforcing catch pit tops. There is also ongoing reinforcing work for culvert tops and catch pit casting. At Pump Station 3, efforts are focused on reinforcing, outer shuttering, casting, de-shuttering, backfilling, and dewatering the tank with safety netting. In Raaverin Magu, cross-line connection and pipe installation are taking place along with the installation of C-type junctions. Sosun Magu sees catch pit adjustments, cable junction leveling, and the creation of tree pits. Ocean Magu is engaged in cross-line connection pipe installation and electricity cable layering. Marine Drive and Sosun Magu are undergoing road clearance, with Marine Drive also involving demolition and clearing activities. Chandhanee Magu has had catch pit adjustments. Further work at the casting yard includes catch pit top reinforcement, culvert top reinforcing, catch pit casting, curb stone casting, welding works, and material arranging. Additionally, cable junctions are being cast on-site in Raaverin Magu. 

At the casting yard, the team is focused on making steel nets for culvert tops, reinforcing culverts, and casting components such as D-junctions, curb stones, and both small (S) and large (B) culvert tops, as well as E-junctions. The pump station's efforts include dewatering, shuttering, reinforcing, and backfilling Pump Station 3. Raaverin Magu and Dheyliya Magu are undergoing cross-line connection pipe installations. In Sosun Magu, the work involves leveling stormwater junctions and cable junctions, along with the creation of tree pits. Additionally, cement bricks for wall construction are being casted in the casting yard.

At Sosun Magu, nine cross-connection pipes are being installed, and stormwater junction leveling and cable junction leveling work is ongoing. At Pump Station 3, the project has advanced significantly with shuttering and casting, deshuttering, submerging into water, and the installation of precast floors, along with dewatering and shuttering reinforcing. Ocean Magu is undergoing paving work, and gap filling is being carried out at Orchid Magu. Raaverin Magu is seeing the installation of cross-line connection pipes, while corner curb stones are being installed at Dheyliya Magu. Additionally, stormwater junctions are being loaded and prepared for further installation.

On Shabnamee Hingun, gap filling and paving were completed. At the casting yard, several tasks were accomplished including casting culvert covers, curb stones, and corner curbstones, along with the preparation of steel nets for culverts. Sosun Magu saw the installation of cross-connection pipes, while pump station activities included deshuttering, reinforcing, and casting the tank bottom. On Ocean Magu, light post footings were installed. Orchid Magu had light post footings and gap filling completed. The casting yard continued its operations with the casting of big and small culvert tops, cement wall blocks, and catch pit casting. The pump station's tank bottom and the excavation for pump station 3 were also undertaken.

In Ocean Magu, significant efforts include excavating and installing culverts, road clearance, foam work for the culverts, casting culvert joints, and unloading deformed bars. Curbstones are being delivered for the next day's work, and installation is underway. On Dheyliya Magu, excavation and installation of nine light post footings are in progress. Bodu Magu is witnessing paving work on the second side along with the installation of light posts and electrical connections. Additionally, pump station work entails shifting materials, sinking the pump station tank, preparation for casting, and road clearance. 

Excavation work for corner curbs and their installation is in progress in Orchid Magu. Ocean Magu is seeing extensive work with the installation of culverts, including joint casting on site, followed by backfilling and road clearance. Additional tasks include the installation of curbstones and ensuring the roads are clear. Bodu Magu has focused on connecting electricity for street light posts, enhancing the area's illumination. On Roashanee Magu, the street lighting system is being upgraded by replacing 16A 2-pole breakers with 6A single pole breakers, ensuring better electrical safety and efficiency.

Orchid Magu is currently undergoing excavation for culverts and installation procedures, alongside groundwork for curbstone installation. Simultaneously, Shabnamee Hingun is undergoing a transformation with meticulous cleaning and debris removal from culverts, accompanied by the installation of culvert covers and streetlight cable connections, while also paving the gravity floor line. Bodu Magu is bustling with activity, including backfilling and sidewalk setting for pavement, complemented by intensive paving efforts. At Sosun Magu junction, elevation framework is underway. Meanwhile, Chandhanee Magu is experiencing comprehensive backfilling and road leveling activities.  

Bodu Magu sees significant progress with excavation works for curbline 2, followed by curb installations. Additionally, the excavation for corner curbs and subsequent installations mark crucial steps in the road development process, complemented by road clearance and leveling efforts. Over at Sosun Magu, paving works are in full swing alongside the installation of vital cable crossing pipes. Meanwhile, Roashanee Magu is witnessing the establishment of a pump station, highlighting the island's commitment to improving essential utilities.

Along Dheyliya Magu, crews are hard at work excavating for corner curbs, with plans to install and finalize curb installations soon. Simultaneously, Orchid Magu witnesses the hustle of excavation for culvert installment, culvert installations, and the crucial task of road clearance. Meanwhile, over at Bodu Magu, the focus shifts to excavation for catchpit installation, a pivotal step preceding the actual catchpit installation works. Lastly, Raiveri Magu sees teams engaged in the meticulous task of installing corner curbs, completing a comprehensive effort aimed at enhancing the region's infrastructure and ensuring the smooth flow of daily life for residents.

Significant progress has been achieved across multiple fronts in the ongoing construction efforts. A gap spanning 43 meters has been successfully filled, complemented by the installation of corner curbs and culvert covers, as well as ongoing road clearance activities. Orchid Magu is actively engaged in culvert installation, concrete jointing, and on-site road clearance operations. Meanwhile, in Sosun Magu, paving works are underway to enhance road surfaces and ensure smoother transportation routes. Additionally, in Dheyliya Magu, ongoing efforts focus on installing curb line 2 to bolster safety measures and facilitate better traffic flow.

Efforts to improve infrastructure and environmental management are underway in various areas. In Raiverin Magu, the focus was on installing corner curbs and stormwater pipes, along with gap filling and backfilling activities. Meanwhile, at Orchid Magu, attention is directed towards the removal of trees and debris, accompanied by the meticulous process of replanting uprooted trees. These initiatives underscore a commitment to enhancing the urban environment and ensuring efficient water management in these areas.

Construction activities underway this week in N. Velidhoo, involving excavation for curbs and the installation of corner curbs. Meanwhile, over at Orchid Magu, the emphasis is on culvert work, with tasks including casting culvert joints spanning 27 meters and installing culverts.  

In ongoing urban development projects across various areas, several key initiatives are being implemented to enhance infrastructure and public amenities. In Sosun Magu, work is underway to install light cable lines and light posts. Additionally, efforts are underway for the installation of a crossing and a culvert, essential for ensuring smooth traffic flow and pedestrian safety. Moving to Orchid Magu, attention is directed towards the installation of three culverts, each spanning 24 feet, contributing to effective drainage management. Meanwhile, in Raiveri Magu, efforts are concentrated on enhancing pedestrian pathways through the excavation and installation of curbs covering 57 meters. These initiatives reflect a comprehensive approach to urban development, prioritizing infrastructure upgrades and community well-being across different areas.
